Since more than one hundred years “The Nutcracker” (“Lo Schiaccianoci”) is the most evocative Christmas ballet. On stage in Rome from 30 December 2014 to 6 January 2015 and performed by Balletto di Roma, it will liven up both adults’ and kids’ evenings with its characters and atmospheres in between dream and reality. Though using the language of a fairy tale, it deals in fact with a delicate topic, that is to say the passage from childhood to adulthood. “The Nutcracker” was firstly choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, and scored by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892. It was brought to Italy in 1938, being staged in Milan.
Venue: Auditorium Conciliazione, Via della Conciliazione 4 (metro line A, stop: Ottaviano San Pietro or alternatively bus # 40 to the last stop: Piazza Pia).
