Even if you never watched them, you must at least have heard of “Four Flies on Grey Velvet”, “Creepers”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “The Stendhal Syndrome” and “Deep Red”. Rome will now offer you the chance to go a bit deeper into Italian horror movies tradition: to its leader Dario Argento (father of the world-appreciated actress Asia Argento and considered Alfred Hitchcock’s most direct successor), a one week retrospective will be dedicated. From tomorrow to 21 December all his masterpieces will be shown in the fascinating backdrop of Cinema Trevi, nearby the Trevi Fountain. At the inauguration session Argento himself will introduce his most perfect work, Deep Red, just recently restored.
When & where: 16-21 December 2014, shows starting at 5pm. Cinema Trevi is easily reachable from Carlito Hotel & Hostel by a short bus journey or by metro line A (get off at Barberini).
