Hollywood on the Tiber, Spaghetti Western, Italian Comedy and Neorealism: with these four sections a brand new exhibition is opening this week at Cinecittà, the world renowned film studios where some of the greatest productions of the past century were born.
From 24 January onwards “Shooting in Cinecittà, 1937-1989” will hold on display photographs, customs and movies excerpts from the over 120 films shot in fourty years, between the Second World War and the Eighties. Audrey Hepburn, Jayne Mansfield, Ava Gardner and Italian Loren, Lollobrigida, Mangano are just some of other celebrities celebrated by this event, which takes place in what gave home to Federico Fellini, Sergio Leone and Vittorio De Sica among the others.
Cinecittà Studios are open daily except Thursdays, from 9:30 am to 7 pm. From Carlito Hotel & Hostel just catch metro line A and get off at Cinecittà stop. Tickets range from €6 to €10.
